Utah Health Policy Project

Project Director: Judi Hilman, Utah Health Policy Project

Consumer Voices for Coverage Phase II is an extension of the Consumer Voices for Coverage national program funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. This new program provides resources to support local and state-based organizations that are well positioned to educate policymakers and the public about the importance of reforming our health care system. This project seeks to ensure that our health care system is affordable, accessible, sustainable, and equipped to deliver quality care. This requires the cooperation and significant effort of legislators, regulators, providers, community groups, and many others. This project aims to engage in specific activities, including research and analysis, education, and grassroots mobilization.

The Utah Health Policy Project has been working to build coalition support through a story banking project, collecting stories ready for use with Congress and the media. They engage small business in Utah, identified through a survey done in collaboration with the Small Business Majority.
